“Jump Rope for Heart” October 10, 2012

On October 10, our Wee Watch children were inspired by their Providers to be physically active and mentally aware of the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Jump Rope for Heart. Children participated in fun games including “Fun Run”, “Jumping Jacks”, “Crab Crawl”, “Snakey” and “Bubble Chasing”.  Providers also read storybooks that promoted physical activity while illustrating pictures of characters participating in activities such as playing sports, riding bikes and making healthy food choices.

Jump Rope for Heart is one of the Heart and Stroke Foundations’ most successful long-standing programs.  By encouraging children to participate in such programs, we are helping them learn the importance of physical activity, raising awareness, and of course having FUN!
