Canadian Days of Celebration, June 8, 15, 22 & 29th, 2011

During the “Canadian Days of Celebration” in June, our Wee Watch North York children learned about all things Canadian . . . from sports that were invented in Canada, such as basketball and 5 pin bowling to fancy Canadian treats that were made from maple.

The Wee Watch children learned that the Maple Leaf has been a Canadian symbol since the 1700′s.   They were all excited to make their Canadian hats and proudly wore them at our annual Canada Day park day celebrations.

Every year the North York agency holds park days to celebrate Canada Day.   It is a great day for our Providers and the children to get together and celebrate this wonderful county of ours.   The children had a wonderful time playing with one another, wearing their homemade hats, shaking their Canadian flags and some tasty treats.

                HAPPY CANADA DAY!
